Our Wildlife Rescue Office
The WIRES Wildlife Rescue Office (WRO) serves as our central communication hub, providing crucial assistance to distressed native animals around the clock, every day of the year.
Annually, we communicate with over 215,000 callers to share critical wildlife information and promote harmonious co-existence between communities and wildlife in urban, regional, and rural environments. Leveraging digital efficiencies through our rescue communications platform xMatters, in partnership with Everbridge, allows our WRO to extend its support nationwide, connecting callers with WIRES volunteers and other wildlife rescue organisations to assist more wildlife in critical need.
